Cumbagig - Join the party!

Cumbagig is Girlguiding Cumbria South's Centenary launch event, taking place on the 5 September 2009.

Get ready to sing, scream and shake your booty!

Cumbagig is 3 hours of top entertainment from two fantastic tribute bands performing - THE GREATEST Take That and ABBA Vision - get practising your singing now!

Guides ready to party!

What time does it all kick off?

The gates open at 4pm and there will be a warm-up and special guests with the first band taking to the stage at 5.30pm (timings subject to change)

Who can join the party?

All past and present members of Girlguiding UK (or may have been known as the Girl Guides or the Guide Association when you were a member!)This includes: Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Senior Section, Adult Leaders /Members, Trefoil Guild members and their guests.

If your daughter hasn't brought home a letter about Cumbagig, it may be that her Leaders are unable to go. Why not have a chat to the Unit Leader and  ask some of the other parents if they would be willing to take the girls in the unit instead!

How much does it cost?

Tickets are only £12.50. This price includes your entrance to Cumbagig plus coach transport from your area.

Download the Cumbagig booking form to reserve places for your unit. All forms must be returned by 14 August 2009.

Is the event suitable for Rainbows?

Yes, we plan to be finished by 8.15pm, and it is on a Saturday so we hope that parents/carers allow their Rainbows to have a later bedtime than normal in  order to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime event.

What else will there be at Cumbagig?

There will be a souvenir stall selling Launch party badges (featuring the logo designed by one of our young members) and other official Centenary merchandise. We hope to have refreshment vans on site as well (t.b.c.)

What do I wear?

Either wear your official pink Girlguiding Cumbria South Centenary t-shirt with fun party wear such as tutus, stetsons, fluorescent leggings etc. or come in your normal guidewear (uniform) . We want to see a sea of pink!

How do I get to Cumbagig?

Your ticket price includes coach travel from your area. You will be advised of the details regarding coach pick up/drop off points and times nearer the time.
