Annual review 2008

2007 has been a busy year around the county. Find out what we've been up to near you by downloading the Girlguiding Cumbria South Annual Review 2008

We're a vibrant county offering girls and young women the opportunity to try new things, challenge themselves and realise their potential, all in a safe girls-only space. Our trained volunteer leaders provide the inspiration, dedication and the time to give these girls some fantastic experiences!

In 2007, girls in Cumbria South....

  • Went to the Big Gig in Manchester (pop concert with top current bands just for Guides)

  • Camped at the Scout World Jamboree in Essex..and went on holidays and camps all over the county!

  • Explored their creativity at a dance and drama day at Coniston

  • Went swimming, canoeing and did lots more in the out of doors!

....and that's just for starters!

Could you spare some time to give more girls and young women in Cumbria South the chance to take part in activities like the ones above?

We always welcome new leaders, but also urgently need adults who can support local guiding - perhaps you have a skill you could share, or are a whizz at administration or accounts. Whatever time you can spare and interest/skills we'd love to hear from you!
