A growing organisation

Guiding in Cumbria South couldn't happen without our fantastic adult volunteers . Whatever your skills and interests or time you can spare, we have a wide range of volunteer roles and opportunities available.

These include Leaders and Unit helpers who work with the girls directly, plus a whole range of roles that support our adult Leaders such as Advisers, Commissioners, Treasurers, and occasional helpers.

What guiding offers our young members:

A safe, girl only space,
An organisation that is open to all, whatever their faith, ability or circumstances,
A girl-led programme that is modern and relevant to today's girls and young women,
An organisation which is the voice of girls and young women

For girls and young women:

A chance to have fun, try new things and make friends!!

Age ranges of the different sections:

Rainbows: 5- 7 years old

Brownies: 7-10 years old

Guides: 10-14 years old

Senior Section: 14-25 years old (until the member's 26th birthday)

25.03.09 Are you over 18? Live in the Windermere area?

We are looking for leaders over the age of 18 who would like to be part of Windermere Guides or Rainbows.

We are also reopening the Guide unit after Easter and the two leaders would welcome some extra help. The Rainbows have only one unit and are looking for someone to help who would like to join us to open and run a second Rainbow unit.

Also all the units in Windermere would like to invite any young people aged 14 and over to be Young Leaders.
