What guiding offers our young members:

A safe, girl only space,
An organisation that is open to all, whatever their faith, ability or circumstances,
A girl-led programme that is modern and relevant to today's girls and young women,
An organisation which is the voice of girls and young women.
There are four sections for young members - Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and the Senior Section.

Rainbows

A girl may join Rainbows after her 5th birthday and usually moves onto Rainbows when she reaches 7 years old.
Rainbows explore and discover their world, play games, take part in creative activities, listen to stories and sing songs.Whether indoors or out and about on trips, the girls share adventures with new friends and also discover just how good it feels to be kind and helpful to others.

Adults

Volunteers

Guiding in Cumbria South couldn't happen without our fantastic adult volunteers .
Whatever your skills and interests or time you can spare, we have a wide range of volunteer roles and opportunities available.
These include Leaders and Unit helpers who work with the girls directly, plus a whole range of roles that support our adult Leaders such as Advisers, Commissioners, Treasurers, and occasional helpers.
Some volunteer roles are suitable for males, and women who on reaching 65 years old are looking for a new challenge in Guiding.

Trefoil Guild

There are 6 Guilds in the County of South Cumbria, Duddon, Ulverston, Hawkshead, Windermere, Grange over Sands and Kent Lune (Kirkby Lonsdale area).
We welcome anybody over 18 who is willing to make the Guide promise.
What do The Trefoil Guild do?
If at any time we can be of help to guiding in the county we are willing to help in any way we can.
Sometimes we have speakers and slide presentations to illustrate their chosen subject and sometimes we enjoy trips out. Above all we have fun and enjoy the social benefits of being in a friendly group.
If you are interested and would like more information please contact Lilian Barton through the details on the contact us page.
