Following the success of last year we are going to hold another adventure day at Great Tower Scout adventure centre on Sunday 23rd of June 2019 8.45 to 5.30.
The day is open to any Brownie aged 9 + on 1st September 2019 and all Guides. We hope this day will help bridge the gap between Brownies and Guides and give the Brownies a chance to get to know the Guides, so it would be fantastic if Guides could invite the Brownies in their area to join them. We hope the day will encourage the girls to learn outdoor skills, team building and independence.
Cost and how to book
The day will cost £20 and this will include 3 activities, a badge (same as last year’s), refreshments and lunch which we will provide but they will cook on an open fire but you will need to organise your own transport.
We will hopefully offer each girl two high wire type activities (like crate stacking, Jacob;s ladder, Leap of faith, tree climbing) and a team building activity (like shelter building, bouldering, low ropes, pioneering). After the first session we will all come together and in groups the girls will build fires and cook their own lunch on the open fires using ingredients we provide.
Units will need to provide enough leaders to cover the ratios of the girls you bring and may be asked to help lead your team building session for the group you are with but full instructions and support will be given with this
Bookings will be taken on a first come first served basis (we are limited to 144 girls) and we would like to have your bookings and payment in by 3rd June.
Please send your booking slip along with payment to Caroline Gunningham at the address on the form or if you’d prefer to pay by BACS then contact her on email@example.com.
