Guides (Age 10 – 14 years)

Guides are between 10-14 years old and work in small groups called patrols and are encouraged to plan and carry out their own activities (with support from their Leaders!)

They develop skills such as teamwork and managing responsibility, to increase their self-confidence.

Guides can… Develop their interests and gain badges, go away on residential events (sleepovers, camps and holidays with their unit or patrol, take part in activities with other sections (such as Senior Section), Go For It! – A series of challenges Guide patrols work together on completing, covering diverse topics such as Football, Passion 4 Fashion, Parties etc.

They can also work towards the highest award in Guides – the Baden-Powell Challenge, and have the chance to go to fab events such as the Big Gig – a pop concert with top name bands just for Guides!!!!
