Brownies

Girls Aged 7-10

Exciting opportunities, challenges & fun.

What is Brownies?

Brownies is a great option for girls aged 7-10 across South Cumbria to help them discover new hobbies, get creative, explore other cultures and have outdoor adventures. Girls meet regularly to work on badges, learn new skills, play games and see their friends.

Brownies continue building on their skills, developing their leadership skills and try new adventerous activities. There are also opportunities to go along to special events, like sleepovers and camps.

Join Brownies

Joining Brownies is easy! We have Brownie units with amazing leaders waiting to welcome your daughter across South Cumbria. Find the closest unit to you by registering your daughter using the button below.

A local volunteer leader will then contact you within three weeks to let you know all the details about getting started at Brownies!

What do Brownies do?

Brownies have incredible experiences together, make brilliant friends and discover the world around them. Every time they meet up, groups of Brownies learn new skills and take on challenges as they work out what they want to be and do in the future.

They can work towards interest badges in their own time, choosing topics and skills they’re interested in, exploring everything from languages to space.

Being a Brownie is an adventurous journey that girls take with their friends.

Each year, this is celebrated by Girl Guides and Girl Scouts across the world in late February as a day of international friendship and solidarity, ensuring that guiding members think of each other and celebrate their sisters from across the globe.
