Introducing The Curlew Cup

Everyone likes a little challenge and a little competition now and then, so we have created The Curlew Cup!

An inter-divisional Cup that can be won each term by completing a fun challenge in the most interesting way possible!

2021 February Half Term: Make a Trefoil from Natural Objects

We want to see the best collection of pictures of trefoils made from natural objects.

With Thinking Day on the horizon, the image of the trefoil looms large for Cumbria South & our Guiding sisters around the world. With that in mind the challenge this term is to create an trefoil from natural objects. Snap a pic of your nature trefoil and post it in the comments of our Curlew Cup post on our Facebook Page.

Closing Date for entried is 28th Feb and the Division that adds the best collection of images wins.

2020 Autumn Term Curlew Cup Challenge – Human Miles Challenge

**Won by North Lonsdale***

This Autumn Half Term we want to know how many human powered miles you can clock up. So no cars, planes or trains. We want to know how many miles you do over a week, walking, cycling, roller skating canoeing etc. Then the Division with the most miles will win the 1st Curlew Cup Challenge! Points will also be given for unusual or exciting ways to clock up those miles.

As the challenge is a bit random, so will be the judging!!!!

How to Submit your Miles – For this challenge, total up your miles & how you completed them and send them to your leader. Leaders then send them to your division commissioners and division commissioners send them to county ?

The challenge runs from Friday 23rd October to Sunday 1st November and any human powered miles accumulated during this time can be counted ?

We will total them up a week or so after the event to see who managed to move the most!
